VERY URGENT - Owner of chained dogs going to hospital and won't be able to care for them!!

If you are able to rescue ANY of these dogs, PLEASE do so now. They are already in a bad situation and with the owner going into the hospital for medical issues, they really need to get OUT!

Here's an update from a volunteer who recently went out there:
I’ve been going to Rose’s and getting a dog now and then and taking it to my vet and then taking it back. So far, we’ve done Dallas (in Griffin with Angel’s discount), Bear, and Pretty Lady. Bear has ring worms and maybe that’s what caused her to lose the hair around her eyes, on the back of her ears, on her tail and other places. She didn’t look good. I kept her at my vet for a week and she looked so much better.

Pretty Lady has heartworms but my vet says it’s mild so we’re just treating with Heartguard. Phew

Rose has finally realized that she cannot take care of all these dogs. She wants to find homes for Princess, Xena, Pretty Lady, Butchie (JRT), Blackie (really cute little dog), Kayla, Streak and maybe Missy. That would leave her with Trixie, Casper, Dallas and Bear. That’s 12 altogether.

Also, do you know anyone who specializes in long haired Chihuahuas? I have been trying to get Angel over her GI thing but haven’t gotten any shots or spay for her. I’m a little tapped out doing Rose’s other dogs. But Angel is very sweet – about 6 years old and once she is recovered I think she’s housebroken. Weighs 6 pounds. Total lap dog.

Rose told me last night she needed help taking care of the dogs and cats when she goes to the hospital. She thinks she might go Friday. She’s doubled over in pain – some kind of GI thing.
